THE STUDIO
Geometric Beadworks is a one-person studio making hollow, three-dimensional jewelry from glass beads. The work draws on architectural geometry and symmetry. Each piece is a small sculpture, made to be worn.
In 2024, my work was selected for Northwind Art's Small Expressions show in Port Townsend, Washington. I was one of 38 artists chosen from more than 600 submissions.
STRUCTURAL CRAFT
Every piece is hand-woven bead by bead in off-loom peyote stitch. Thread tension and a few careful knots hold its volume, with no interior armature. Each design is first modeled digitally before a single bead is woven. The forms are rigid but lightweight, made to be worn. Findings come in 14/20 gold-filled, .925 sterling silver, or titanium.
THE SERIES
I make jewelry the way an artist makes small works: by hand, one piece at a time, with every color chosen on purpose. My 1-of-1 series, FORM and BIFORM, change in color, scale, and finish with every piece, so no colorway is ever repeated. Other series, including MINIMA and MODUS, are open editions. They share the same construction and are made to be collected over time.
Every piece is made entirely by my own hands, whether it's one of a kind or part of an ongoing collection.
